she gropes for reason

in dire attempt to make sense

of the futility of it all

yet numbness

seems to envelope

her whole being

she stood still

only to see the universe

spinning around

frantically

methodically

priding itself for its sanity

yet she remained still

just watching

just remaining very still

still trying to fathom

unsure whether she is really there

or not
