New Beginnings

It's only the beginning now
...a pathway yet unknown
At times the sound of other steps
...sometimes we walk alone

The best beginnings of our lives
May sometimes end in sorrow
But even on our darkest days
The sun will shine tomorrow.

So we must do our very best
Whatever life may bring
And look beyond the winter chill
To smell the breath of spring.

Into each life will always come
A time to start anew
A new beginning for each heart
As fresh as morning dew.

Although the cares of life are great
And hands are bowed so low
The storms of life will leave behind
The wonder of a rainbow.

The years will never take away
Our chance to start anew
It's only the beginning now
So dreams can still come true.

The New Era

The new era has begun.
This is an era of peace and prosperity, and light everywhere.
In each heart is hope, aspiration,
a celestial desire to justify its own existence on this planet.
In this era of peace and content...
all have there own dreams and wishes...
And one day this age shall begin.
Where there shall be no losers but only winners.
One day each good heart shall be happy.
Each person will be born equal.
Each one shall have equal resources
and none shall be considered
to be greater than the other.
There shall be no bias of resources and opportunities.
And hence each one would get exactly that which he deserves.
What an age this would be ...
Where god shall dwell in each good man's heart.

New Beginnings

I take a stroll on the beach
The wind blows through my hair
My dress clings to my skin
The moonlight glistens off my face

I pull the band off my finger
I kiss the golden ring
I toss the shiny object to the sea
Never to be seen again

I feel the sand between my toes
I begin to run and dance along the shore
A melody of happiness sings in my soul
The harmony of freedom comes from within

My heart conducts the orchestra
The symphony begins to play
My tears disappear like notes on the waves
The song embodies the very essence of my soul

The tide comes in around my feet
Cleansing me of all mistakes
I am set free at last
Reborn, yet again

I can hear the flutes play
The trumpets come to birth
Followed by the violin and the coronet
My soul has been released

My song floats on the wind
Through the sky, past the stars
My angel smiles down upon me
Playing her harp from above

A prayer I hear from my lips
And a voice from within sings
"Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
Oh God, thank you! AMEN!"

Crossroads

The second half of my life will be black
to the white rind of the old and fading moon.
The second half of my life will be water
over the cracked floor of these desert years.
I will land on my feet this time,
knowing at least two languages and who
my friends are. I will dress for the
occasion, and my hair shall be
whatever color I please.

Everyone will go on celebrating the old
birthday, counting the years as usual,
but I will count myself new from this
inception, this imprint of my own desire.

The second half of my life will be swift,
past leaning fenceposts, a gravel shoulder,
asphalt tickets, the beckon of open road.
The second half of my life will be wide-eyed,
fingers shifting through fine sands,
arms loose at my sides, wandering feet.
There will be new dreams every night,
and the drapes will never be closed.
I will toss my string of keys into a deep
well and old letters into the grate.

The second half of my life will be ice
breaking up on the river, rain
soaking the fields, a hand
held out, a fire,
and smoke going
upward, always up.

I am looking forward to it...

My Heart Believes In You

I kept my head up high,
and then you came my way.
I have been hurt so many times.
My heart filled with so much pain.
but now that pain has gone away.
For I have found a place I want to be.
This place I see is with thee.
For in your arms I have felt and seen,
a wonderful feeling that I cannot believe.
A safe haven in your arms just for me.
Now I give my heart to thee.
For my heart believes in you.

*************

Before I met you I just knew that in your arms I can just be still -- I was right.

I love you beloved...
